nrg4SD has recently launched a Working Group on the Plan of Action on Subnational Governments, Cities and other Local Authorities 2011 - 2020 of the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (UN CBD). The main objective is to discuss how nrg4SD can work with the UN CBD and the Global Partnership members in the development of the Plan of Action, with a particular focus on (i) a multilevel strategy, (ii) the Advisory Committee of Subnational Governments, and (iii) decentralised cooperation on biodiversity matters.

The nrgr4SD Secretariat has elaborted a 2011 Work Programme for the Group.
