Forests Working Group

nrg4SD has recently launched a Working Group on Forests. This working group is devoted to forest conservation and the sustainable management of forests. It will enable nrg4SD to develop expertise in forest policy and represent subnational governments at the international level. The Working Group will develop the key elements of the nrg4SD Forest Policy Work Programme and how to engage with the UN Forest Forum and other relevant international entities.The Working Group coordinator and nrgr4SD Secretariat in close consultation with Working Group members have elaborted a 2011 Work Programme for the Group.

Subnational governments members of this Working Group are: Aquitaine. There is a candidatures call for application on the basis of the work programme in particular for those regions concerned by the REDD+ mechanism.
