We are pleased to open the call for the nrg4SD Visiting Experts Program 2017. This nrg4SD program enables nrg4SD members to send a visiting expert to other nrg4SD members’ territories with the aim to learn experiences on the ground, good practices, know-how, progress and actions in the fields of sustainable development, climate change and biodiversity. The program is conceived on a South-North and South-South basis and aims at improving capacities of technical experts in their daily work.
The call is open from January 30 to May 30, 2017 and proposals should be put forward by two nrg4SD members in good standing with the Network working under the thematic fields of nrg4SD.
Following the General Assembly recommendations, the nrg4SD Secretariat will hold webinars with interested members to clarify the conditions of the call and better help to successful applications. First webinars will happen at 14h CET on Tuesday 14 February (English), 15 February (Spanish) and 16 February (French). Further webinars will be developed upon the request of members. Webinars will also serve as a tool to identify suitable partners for the call.
The Network opens a call for visiting experts to foster bilateral cooperation, capacity building and know-how transference. The rationale behind is that by sharing methodologies, approaches and experiences, it will be possible to have well-trained professionals that may improve subnational governance and capacities.
We encourage all nrg4SD members to participate and don’t miss this opportunity of exchange and learning!
